IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION IN INDONESIA THROUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF NATIONAL STANDARDS OF HIGHER EDUCATION

Education is an investment in human capital which, if managed properly, will have an impact on increasing welfare. The problem of education in Indonesia is very complex. Efforts to overcome educational problems are the establishment of National Higher Education Standards. Based on the Regulation of the Minister of Research and Technology No. 44 of 2015 concerning SNPT includes: 1) Curriculum content standards; 2) Process Standards; 3) Graduate Competency Standards; 4) Standard of Educators and Education Personnel; 5) Facilities and Infrastructure Standards; 6) Management Standards; 7) Financing Standards; and 8) Educational Assessment Standards. The application of regulations as an effort by the government in dealing with problems of higher education in Indonesia. The implementation of the National Higher Education Standards requires support and commitment: (1) Leadership of higher education institutions; (2) Students Who Are Educated; (3) Lecturers as Educators and Lecturers. Lecturers must have the necessary qualifications to convey their knowledge to students; (4) Facilities and Infrastructure and (5) institutional accreditation.
